A BUS strike hit a large part of Co. Durham and some Tyneside towns again yesterday.

The strike is by 4,000 busmen employed by the Northern General group of companies.

The men had been working to rule for ten weeks before the strike began on Saturday, when ten men-two at each of five depots—were dismissed for refusing to work normally.

Management have offered to reistnate the ten men who were sacked. Negotiations were in progress yesterday afternoon.

However, busmen say that there will be no deal about normal working until management agree on their £20 a week basic claim.

Crews from other bus companies are boycotting the routes normally worked by men now on strike.
