Topics
The paper carries no subject headings of its own, so these are worked out from the text, by a rule that shows its working: an article is filed under a topic when its headline names it and the text mentions it, or when the text names it at least four times and often enough for its length. At most four topics an article. The topics are the paper's own concerns in 1969–73, in its own words; machine-read text means a few articles are missed or misfiled.
