- NCCL call AN ALL-OUT fight against the forthcoming Tory Immigration Bill has been urged on its 80 or so supporters in parliament by the National Council for Civil Liberties.

In a memorandum to the MPs yesterday, it stated that the Bill is likely to contain 'all the worst aspects of the present allen law, which will be applied to Commonwealth citizens and aliens alike'.

The memorandum says police registration may become compulsory for all immigrants and the right of dependants to enter Britain will be abolished.

The Bill, says the Council, is the government's last chance to change the existing structure.
