THE NEW three-man commission to deal with suspected Ulster terorists will begın operations tomorrow. Huts that were once part of Long Kesh internment camp will serve as courtrooms.

The commission's brief will be to investigate the position of the 286 men still in detention and any other suspects who cannot be brought before the normal courts.

The tribunal, announced earlier this week by Ulster Secretary William Whitelaw is likely to make a start on the cases of 43 men who were given notice on Tuesday of impending inquiries.

The word "internee' will not be used at the tribunal's sessions. Men not freed by the commission will be known as 'detainees'.
